Day  by Day

What do I strive to be? I want to be rooted deeper in Him. I want to give Him all of me. And I need to live a life that reflects Him more. To quote from DC Talks 'Day by Day' (from Jesus Freak)

"Day by day
Three things I pray-
Love Thee more dearly
See Thee more clearly
Follow Thee more nearly"

Well I still have a long way to go in my rather wobbly walk with Christ. I still give in often to Satan's treacherous temptations. I wonder if I am taking God's priceless gift of forgiveness for granted!

The words of the song 'In The Light' by DC Talk reflect my feelings and desires.

"The disease of self runs through my blood
It's a cancer fatal to my soul.
Every attempt on my behalf has failed
To bring this sickness under control.
What's going on inside me?
I despise my own behavior.
This only serves to confirm my suspicions
