Resist the devil (James 4)

James 4:7
Submit yourself, then, to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you
.

I Peter 5:8-9
Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking

for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith….

Ever felt knocked out by the devil? Think you’re yielding in to satan too often?

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A WAY OUT…?

Peter and James offer you a simple 2-step protocol(?!) to get outta it.

1 – Submit yourself to God/Stand firm in the faith.

2 – RESIST THE DEVIL.

For best results, BOTH STEPS MUST BE FOLLOWED! It is futile resisting the devil in your own strength. You cannot resist something unless you stand firm on something and both Peter and James knew well from personal experience what that had to be.

Those who have tried to or are trying to break free from addictive habits will best testify to the fact that it is near impossible to do it on one’s own strength. And such people whose lives have been touched by Jesus will testify to the fact that only a firm faith in Christ can help break free from these chains!

Resisting the devil is not a passive action! It is an exciting dynamic process that ends in glorious victory. Try it!! And you’ll be more than a conqueror as you succeed (not in your strength but in Christ’s!)

G O T I T ? ! !

So the next time the devil comes to getcha… y’know what to do!!!…. and BINGO!! Crash! Boom!! Bang!! THE DEVIL WILL FLEE FROM YOU!
(Now, won’t that be a pretty sight!!)
